Harbour Chines is a very prestigious area within Coquitlam that will typically feature larger sized pieces of land with larger homes. In and around this area are 8,000 sq ft. lots and above and estate homes with custom designs. Homes with custom mill work, 18 ft. ceilings, gourmet kitchens with top notch commercial grade appliances, wine cellars, theatre rooms, and marble flooring are not uncommon in this area. Depending on where in Harbour Chines you decide to purchase your child may be eligible to attend Queen of all Saints Elementary located at 1405 Como Lake Ave. Coquitlam (604) 931-9071. These are good schools which can be very busy and we always suggest calling the school ahead of time to make sure it is possible for your children to transfer over the school and begin class when you move.
Within a 5-10 minute drive all of your local amenities are within reach. Local coffee shops and grocery stores are conveniently located nearby and public transportation here is quite good as well in case you would like to leave less of a carbon footprint.
There are also plenty of parks to take the dog for a walk or to let your kids play outside on the playground. Two local parks in the area are Como Lake Park and Crestwood Park. Crestwood Park is nestled in the neighbourhood and has basketball courts for youth to play in the dryer months and a large playground with swing sets for younger children to play. Coquitlam also has many indoor pool and recreation facilities that have many community events and organized programs for the entire family to partake in.
